What is Karaoke?
Karaoke is of Japanese origin, derived from the words kara ("empty" as in karate which means "empty hand") and "okesutora" ("orchestra"). to sing as loud as they desired without bothering anyone. Eventually, karaoke moved into bars and restaurants throughout Japan.
Karaoke has now taken off in a big way in the United Kingdom and even more so with the huge popularity of television shows Pop Stars and the X-Factor, where people dream of being the next singing sensation and performing in front of adoring multi-millions!
Ace Karaoke takes 3 main forms:
1. Karaoke Hire
Karaoke Equipment hire is user friendly and very affordable. Our price includes delivery, installation, demonstration and collection throughout London and the Home Counties. The karaoke system and karaoke machine is perfect for either small venues where space is a premium such as flats and houses or wine bars or conversely very large function rooms where we would increase the sound specificationsThe hire includes:
- Karaoke machine, known as a cdg player
- TV Monitor (The music moves in time with the lyrics on the screen)
- Adjustable stand (making it easier to read the lyrics)
- PA system (2 quality speakers and amplification) Power upgrades are available to suit your venue size.2 microphones (more if required)
- Approximately 3000 songs (from the 50's to the very latest chart and pop music) and growing as new disks are available
- Karaoke song catalogues alphanumerically listed in artist title order for easy access
- Karaoke request slips and pens
- Normal CD's can be played in the Karaoke machine enabling a disco Karaoke option
- Lighting can be hired to further enhance your experience
- We would set everything up for you so all you have to do is enjoy your chance of stardom on that karaoke stage!

2. Karaoke with compeer
A compeer from Ace Karaoke would organise and motivate your guests and advertise the karaoke .We would pass the karaoke catalogues and karaoke song slips around the audience and maybe even sing a song or two to get the crowd in the right mood, although after a couple of lemonades there is normally no holding them back. Stopping them singing is more the problem!
3. Ace Karaoke Discos with Karaoke Disc Jockey
Ace Karaoke discos would incorporate both karaoke and disco entertainment so you would have the best of both karaoke and disco .Guests can choose songs from both formats and this would also include lighting effects. We would mix and match the karaoke and disco to suit the mood of you and your guests.
